Indie Designer Spotlight: Curverra

Listening to Atlanta-based designer and #BOSSBABE Adrienne Parker talk about her clothes is a delightful experience.  She is sweet and enthusiastic, confident and humble, focused on her customer and on making the world a better place.  Her charm and drive shine through in her clothing line, Curverra.

I first learned about Curverra at the 2020 Full Figure Fashion Week #FFFWeek, a virtual fashion convention (thanks, coronavirus!) that highlighted Indie Designers.  I loved every minute of Curverra's show, and had to share the collection with y'all immediately!  How impatient was I?  The fashion show ended about 2 hours ago.  And I'm on vacation.  So here goes!

The motto at Curverra is Slay the Day!  This boutique, which offers their own designs, is bold, sexy, and stylish.  Curverra is unapologetically a clothing brand for curves, offering sizes XL to 5X. Designed for the woman that wants to feel beautiful, empowered, and sexy, you'll find fashions from every imaginable fabric, cut to accentuate the plus size body in all the right ways.

You all know what a fan I am of jumpsuits, and Curverra doesn't disappoint in that area.  That shouldn't be surprising, given how dedicated Adrienne is to recognizing and supporting other #BOSSBABES, and what better way to look the part than in a jumpsuit?  Take a look at some of their amazing styles.

A quick look at their Bottoms shows the diversity of fabrics - vegan leather features prominently in the 2020 collection, acid-wash denim keeps the 80s alive, and smart, sophisticated blends provide work-appropriate looks.  You'll also find mesh and vinyl, sheer and shiny, bodycon and flowy.

Curverra's tops are feminine, fierce, sexy, fashion-forward - the prefect toppers for jeans.  Find glam and down-to-earth denim - you'll love this collection.  I mean, look at that studded crocodile biker jacket.  And it's vegan leather, so, guilt-free.

Curverra's dresses have a lot of bodycon options, but also gowns, casual pieces, two-piece options, and flowy daytime frocks.  The only piece on the site that made me raise my eyebrows a little is the In Too Deep dress which, while gorgeous, has rhinestones sewn into the back, which might be uncomfortable to sit on.  But if you want that piece, go ahead and contact Adrienne - I'm sure she'd love to talk to you about her designs!

One last feel-good note: Curverra clothes are made in USA.

Curverra is a great boutique with fashion-forward clothes that are designed specifically for the plus size woman.  There is something for everyone in that store and I hope you'll check out this amazing small business.
